An Adventist in Heaven

Re: An Adventist in Heaven

I suppose the clock is to "make fun" of the idea there is time in heaven. This of course, to undermine the issue of Sabbath day observance in the new earth. The fact is, without time, life has no relevant meaning. Quality and the time it takes to accomplish anything are inter-related to make up any meaningful goal. Bill Sorensen

Re: An Adventist in Heaven

Have you ever heard of the Adventist who would not buy a wedding ring for his fiancee because it was "jewelry," and bought a nice gold watch instead because watches are functional (and therefore not jewelry / outward adornment)? It seems archaic, I know, but I have heard the story enough that it has become an SDA meme, for me anyhow.

That is what this cartoon pokes fun at.
