Schilt, Nate
Nate Schilt is a partner in the law firm of Schilt and Heinrich in Loma Linda, California. A graduate of Union College and U.C.L.A. Law School, he began his legal career in the San Bernardino County D.A.’s office, rising to the position of Chief Deputy District Attorney. In 1989 he switched careers to do professional negligence defense litigation for Loma Linda University health care entities, as well as their dentists, and physicians. As a criminal prosecutor and civil defense attorney, he has litigated close to 200 jury trials.He frequently lectures on topics related to malpractice and medical/legal ethics. In addition to serving on the Board and Executive Committee of Adventist Today, he serves on boards and advisory committees for local charities addressing the plight of foster children and children who have recently aged out of the foster care system in San Bernardino County. His wife, Dee Dee, has recently opened a girls’ home in Redlands to provide life skills building opportunities for girls who have aged out of the foster care system.
